UzStandard chief becomes Labour minister - Tashkent Times

Aktam Khaitov has been appointed as Employment and labor relations minister, replacing Aziz Abdukhakimov who was appointed as chairman to Tourism Development Committee by the August 7 Presidential decree, the ministry announced in a statement.

From March 2010 to July 2014, Khaitov held the post of minister of labor and social protection of population (before that he was interim minister).

Note: In May 2017, by the President’s decree, the Ministry of labor and social protection was reorganized into the Ministry of employment and labor relations.
