Voting in Uzbekistan's Initiative Budget Season II wrapped up on August 31. According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, a total of 10.124 million votes were cast nationwide over the course of the process.
The final results named 2,195 winning projects worth a combined 3.1 trillion soums. Of these, 2,059 were traditional community projects, while 136 were co-funded partnership initiatives.
The bulk of the winning proposals focused on overhauling local infrastructure — including sidewalks and pedestrian crosswalks, with 1,022 such projects — followed by renovations to general schools (476 projects) and upgrades to healthcare facilities and their equipment and supplies (173 projects).
