President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today received the President of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Choue Chung-won. Warmly welcoming the guest, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere gratitude to Choue Chung-won for his personal contribution and practical steps aimed at popularization of taekwondo in Uzbekistan, especially among the youth.

President of Uzbekistan by his 9 August Resolution has approved the accords with the State of Kuwait signed on February 8, 2017:

Bakhtiyor Sayfullaev has been appointed as Culture minister of Uzbekistan, replacing Mahmud Muratov, who ran the ministry since February, 2017, a source in the government said.
