Uzbekistan national team on January 21-24 will hold a training camp in the UAE,  during which it will hold a friendly match against Denmark U-23. The match will kick off at 17:00 Tashkent time at Sevens stadium in Dubai.

The Tashkent-based  Lokomotiv seals Uzbekistan Professional League title with one match still to play. After matchday 28 the “railways” team had 68 points, ahead of Bunyodkor who were second with  62 points. But after Bunyodkor was held by Navbakhor 1: 1 in matchday 29 they even lost mathematical chances of winning the title.

Uzbekistan lost to South Korea, 1-2 in matchday 5 of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup 2018 at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

FIFA announced the updated world rankings in which Uzbekistan is placed 48th (on 671 points) getting close to its highest-ever ranking of 45.
