Reportedly, the conclusion of the disciplinary investigation conducted against Rustam Rakhmonov was discussed by the Qualification Board of Judges of Tashkent City Courts. Following the investigation, he was dismissed from his position based on his request in writing and the grounds for breaching the Code of Ethics of Judges, and his judicial authority was terminated early.
“The actions of other judges were also studied in the same process, and the relevant part of the disciplinary investigation was submitted to the Qualification Board of Judges of the relevant court for consideration.
In response to various reports on social networks regarding this still unresolved case, we would like to remind you that according to the Courts Law and the Supreme Council of Judges of the Republic of Uzbekistan Law, the Council is not entitled to directly impose disciplinary measures on judges,” the Council said in a statement.
