Issiqliktaminoti (government body responsible hot water supply) and the French Development Agency signed a memorandum on the project to modernize the heating system of the Kirguli residential area in Fergana city, the press service of Issiqliktaminoti said.
The project stipulates the modernization of 76 km heating networks and erecting of 380 individual heating points in 2027-2029.
According to estimates, the project is valued at $39.9 million. After its implementation, 317 apartment buildings (16,617 flats) and 41 social facilities will be provided with centralized heat supply.
The French Development Agency supports environmetal, energy saving and improving water supply projects in Uzbekistan. During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France in March of this year, the parties, along with other agreements, agreed, including on the development of urban utilities.
