Uzbekistan has signed three green energy project deals with a Chinese company, the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

Executives of Wind and Solarshine for Electricity Distribution Panels Manufacturing and China Energy International Group signed documents on July 24 aimed at developing renewable energy and modernizing infrastructure.

The first agreement provides for consulting services for a project to build a 500 MW wind power plant in Peshku district of Bukhara province. According to the Ministry of Energy, the project is one of the largest in the province and is aimed at providing hundreds of thousands of households with clean energy.

The second deal also provides for consulting services for a 100 MW battery storage system project, which is planned to be erected in Tashkent city.

The third is the EPC contract within the framework of the projects being implemented.

According to the Ministry of Energy, these projects are part of Uzbekistan's national program to achieve sustainable development goals and transition to a low-carbon economy.
