The Deputy Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization Kamola Akilova had an online meeting with the Advisor to the Director of the Egyptian National House of Books and Archives/Head of Egyptian Library at Bab-ul-Khalq Dr. Huwayda Kamil.
At the beginning of the conversation, Kamola Akilova offered an invitation to Dr. Huwayda Kamil for the official opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
The parties explored the possibility of displaying ancient manuscripts stored in the Egyptian National House of Books and Archives at the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan - Heritage of All Humanity exhibition, which will be feature the opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
Huwayda Kamil, while recognizing the friendly relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan, confirmed the interest of the Egyptian National House of Books and Archives in showcasing its collections in Tashkent.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly study ancient books related to the heritage of great ancestors such as al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Sina, al-Farghani, al-Marghinani, and Alisher Navoi.
