Two teen girls drowned while swimming in Okhangaron Suv reservoir in Akhangaran city, the Prosecutor General's Office said. The tragedy occurred on July 28 in the Chinor neighburhood of the Akhangaran district. On that day, 19-year-old D. P., 16-year-old D. A. and 19-year-old N. E. came to swim in the reservoir. However, after some time, D. P. and N. E. did not come out of the water and disappeared.
The search by officers of the Akhangaran district department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on July 28 at about 20:00 found the corpse of D. P. on the shore of the reservoir. On July 29 at 08:50, the body of N. E. was also found.
A forensic medical examination has been ordered to find the cause of death, with the district prosecutor's office conducting a pre-investigation probe on this fact.
