The president Mirziyoyev signed a decree Thursday on financial and household assistance to each Palestinian family in Uzbekistan, as well as individual support from a social worker., UzA said.
The National Social Protection Agency together with the Ministry of Health must within two months assign disability categories for Palestinians suffering from diseases that caused disability, regardless of the duration of treatment.
After that, they will be assigned benefits paid to seniors who do not have the required work experience (820 thousand soums).
In addition, a monthly living allowance at the rate of minimum consumer expenses will be assigned for each able-bodied Palestinian, with the exception of persons with disabilities of groups I and II (669 thousand soums).
Each family will be compensated for housing rental expenses, and the y will be provided with one-time benefits for the birth of a child, for burial (the same amounts as for nationals of Uzbekistan), as well as lifting allowances for purchase of basic needs, in particular, sets of non-food products used in the family.
Each family will be assigned one social worker from the mahalla for personal support and individual assistance, as well as for the implementation of their needs and individual requirements.
A National commission has been set up to coordinate assistance to Palestinians who had landed in Uzbekistan, and a special fund under the National Agency for Social Protection. The fund will be formed through charitable donations, grants from international organizations and other sources not prohibited by law, as well as interest from the placement of temporarily available funds on deposits in commercial banks.
