President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced a new initiative at a meeting with business leaders Wednesday, according to which from 2026 business can be started in just 15 minutes.
As part of the “Start Your Business in 15 Minutes” principle, right during the process of registering a business, the following will be done:
- an electronic digital signature will be issued;
- a bank account will be opened;
- if necessary, a lease agreement will be entered into;
- a cash register may be registered with tax authorities;
- notifications will be automatically sent to relevant government bodies.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed in his address to business leaders that “every meeting and conversation with you brings me special joy, and sometimes inspiration.”
“Because in your person I see the practical results and achievements of our efforts to build a New Uzbekistan. Today we can confidently say that in our country small and medium businesses have become a "catalyst for reforms". It was you, the entrepreneurs, who created this. We can rightfully be proud of this," he said.
