Prices for hot water supply and heat supply for Tashkent city are expected to rise. This is stated in the August 22 order of the capital's council of people's deputies, which approved the proposal of the Veolia Energy Tashkent.

The new household retail prices for heat and hot water supply services will increase by 15% - from 121,617 to 139,860 soums / Gcal excluding VAT. The tariffs were last increased on November 15.

For legal persons, the tariff will also increase by 40% - from 244,497 to 342,296 soums per Gcal. Prior to that, it increased by 15% in November.

The base tariff will increase by 7% - from 664,465 to 711,641 soums / Gcal.

The tariff for budget-financed organizations will become 18.8% more expensive — from 801,963 to 952,797 soums/Gcal.

The effective date of the new prices were not yet disclosed, but Veolia Energy Tashkent proposed to raise them from October 1, 2025. The order now need to be signed by the city mayor Shavkat Umurzakov. After which, the tariffs will take effect 15 days after its signing.

According to Veolia Energy Tashkent CEO Sevara Pardayeva, the capital’s residents pay only 18% of the base tariff, and the rest is covered from the city budget in the form of subsidies. The government plans to gradually phase out subsidies for heat and hot water supply services by 2030.
