President Mirziyoyev signed decree amending the procedure for collecting sponsorship donations. Now funds shall be collected in the interests of specific recipients of assistance and within a pre-announced timeframes. The amendments also stipulate:
- cash collection shall be allowed only by means of charity boxes;
- boxes must be transparent, sealed and signed by authorized persons.
Exceptions shall be allowed only when transferring donations to bank accounts. Reportedly, these measures will enhance trust in charitable initiatives and ensure transparency in the collection and distribution of sponsorship assistance.
