Chief of an HR department at an arbitration court was arrested for accepting a bribe in Surkhandarya province, the State Security Service’s press service said today.
The man allegedly abused his official position and demanded $1,000 from a Termez resident through his acquaintances to secure employment as an inspector at the provincial customs office., The employee was detained in an operation while receiving the requested sum.
Criminal proceedings have now been opened against him under the Fraud committed through abuse of official position charge and Bribery charge of the Criminal Code.
