Foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in Uzbekistan can now submit applications for visa extension online through the My.gov.uz portal.
To do this, one needs to login on my.gov.uz and select Visa extension for foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in Uzbekistan.
The applicant must fill in the required information and attach a copy of supporting document and national passport (travel document) to extend the visa.
If the application is submitted by a legal representative or close relative (citizen of Uzbekistan), a notarized power of attorney must also be attached. The application must be submitted at least ten days before the expiration of the current visa.
Applications are reviewed within 15 business days. Based on the results of consideration of the application, the authorized body sends applicant the state duty to pay or issues a rejection if deficiencies are identified.
After paying the state duty, the applicant submits the national passport to the competent authority within 3 business days. The body will attach a permit (sticker) to the passport in 2 business days.
