Following the talks, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today in Tashkent signed a Joint Statement and three decisions of the Supreme Bilateral Council:
- forming bilateral working group on geology and mining of rare earths;
- bilateral working group on forecasting the water content of transboundary rivers;
- forming Council of Heads of Provinces of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Afterwards, the heads of state oversaw the exchange of signed intergovernmental and interdepartmental accords:
- Agreement between the governments on joint management and rational use of transboundary water bodies;
- Agreement on conducting joint military exercises;
- Agreement on opening of customs service representative offices;
- Agreement on coordination of radio frequency assignments used by terrestrial civil radio services of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in border zones;
- Framework Agreement on Establishment of a Joint Investment Platform;
- Joint Action Plan for Cooperation in Tourism for 2026-2027
- Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Justice for 2025-2026;
- Memorandum on the Development of Cooperation in the Mining Industry;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agency for Youth Affairs of Uzbekistan and the public association "Assembly of Zhastary";
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Health on the Provision of Specialized Medical Care Using Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgical Treatment;
- Memorandum of Understanding between Health Insurance Funds;
- Cooperation Agreement between Tashkent City Hall and the Astana City Hall;
- Framework Agreement on Joint Implementation of Projects in the Petrochemical Industry between Uzbekneftegaz and KazMunayGas Agreement on principles between Uzbekneftegaz and KazMunayGas on the Zharkyn exploration project.
