Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE Government Mohammad Al Gergawi. At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed to Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincere greetings and best wishes of UAE President Sheikh Mohammad Al Nahyan and Vice President/Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum.
The parties discussed the ways to further strengthen the Uzbek-UAE friendship and strategic partnership ties, as well as the practical implementation of agreements reached during the high-level visit to the UAE in January of this year.
Reportedly, they voiced deep satisfaction that over 300 initiatives had been implemented with the UAE government in recent years in more than 40 areas, including such important programs as the Government Accelerator, One Million Coders and Young Leaders.
They pointed out the need to ensure the full implementation of the new five-year program of mutually beneficial cooperation to improve public administration efficiency and focused on joint plans to implement the UAE's best practices in reducing bureaucracy, training 5 million industrial engineers in artificial intelligence, and promoting the Young Generation and Book Challenge projects.
An agreement was also reached to thoroughly prepare for upcoming high-level events.
Following the meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Minister Mohammad Al Gergawi toured an exhibition dedicated to the history of Uzbek-UAE relations.
