The online phase of Uzbekistan's population and agricultural census, which began on January 15, concludes at midnight on January 31. Over the past 17 days (as of 7:00 PM Saturday), more than 29.9 million people, representing 81.8% of all households in the country, have participated in the census, the National Statistics Committee said.
The committee noted that if those wishing to participate in the census (which is conducted on the website census.stat.uz) register before midnight, the system will allow them to complete the process after midnight.
The second phase of the census will take place from February 4 to 28: with door-to-door visits to households, with respondents completing questionnaires on tablets based on their own responses, to be conducted by neighbourhood officials.
