President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in a telephone conversation Wednesday, the presidential press service said.
Reportedly, the parties underscored that the escalation of the situation and conflicts in the Middle East posed a serious threat to regional stability and peace.
They expressed deep concern over "unacceptable actions that exacerbate the differences among the Muslim ummah during the holy month of Ramadan", emphasizing that an immediate cessation of any actions that threaten national sovereignty, peace, and tranquility is in the common interests of countries in the region.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also expressed deep gratitude to the Emir for ensuring the safety of Uzbek nationals in Qatar and their return home.
While, the Emir of Qatar expressed special gratitude to the President Mirziyoyev for the friendly conversation, ongoing support, words of solidarity, and the significant attention paid to the development of bilateral strategic partnership.
