Judge of Pastdargom District Civil Court in Samarkand province was arrested for accepting a bribe, the State Security Service reported.
Reportedly, a 2022 decision by Pastdargom District Court ordered a man, 32, to pay child support for a woman, 36, until their child reached adulthood in 2022.
The defendant later filed a petition for review based on newly discovered circumstances. The judge, having received this petition, overturned the 2022 decision on February 27 of this year and scheduled a retrial for March 11.
According to the State Security Service, the judge demanded $300 from the plaintiff for a ruling in his favor.
