Kazakhstan will host the Informal Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on 15 May 2026 in Turkistan — the spiritual capital of the Turkic World.

Convening under the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development," the Summit will gather Heads of State and Government of OTS Member States and Observer States, the Secretary General of the OTS, the Council of Elders, and representatives of Turkic Cooperation Organizations.

Leaders will deliberate on priority areas of cooperation in an era of rapid digital transformation, with a focus on harnessing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and emerging technologies to drive sustainable economic growth, modernize public services, and strengthen regional connectivity.

As part of the official programme, the Council of Foreign Ministers will convene prior to the session of the Council of Heads of State, setting the diplomatic groundwork for high-level discussions.

Holding the Summit in Turkistan — a city that embodies the shared historical heritage and civilizational identity of the Turkic peoples — carries deep symbolic significance. It reflects the Turkic States' collective resolve to build on their common past as they chart a forward-looking, digitally empowered future together.

The Summit is expected to reinforce unity, solidarity, and result-oriented cooperation across the Turkic world, delivering concrete outcomes at the intersection of tradition and transformation.
