Uzbekistan has dispatched a grant shipment of premium agricultural seeds to Afghanistan to support local farmers and agrarian organizations. The initiative is projected to strengthen food security and stimulate agricultural development across the country.

The seed varieties were officially handed over to Afghan agricultural entities by the Center for Seed Development under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.

This humanitarian aid package includes 20 tons of certified, weather-resistant cotton seeds, 20 tons of rice seeds, and 500 kilograms of high-quality vegetable and melon seeds.

Furthermore, the initiative is designed to fortify agrarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, ultimately contributing to broader regional stability and economic development.

According to sector experts, this practical cooperation serves as a prime example of good-neighborly relations and mutually beneficial diplomacy.

Officials emphasized that this practical assistance aims to enhance food security in Afghanistan, boost rural employment, and accelerate the adoption of modern agricultural technologies and innovations.
