A fatal accident occurred yesterday, June 3, at a farm in the Baghdad district of the Fergana province. According to official reports, a man drowned after accidentally falling into an artificial water reservoir lined with a synthetic membrane fabric.
Following the tragedy, experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations issued an urgent appeal to farmers utilizing membrane-lined water reservoirs, imploring them to strictly adhere to safety protocols.
Authorities emphasized that the perimeters of these artificial ponds must be securely fenced off, equipped with clear warning signs, and kept entirely off-limits to unauthorized individuals and children.
Safety experts warned that failing to implement these basic protective measures poses a severe hazard not only to farmworkers but also to residents in neighboring communities.
