A juvenile inspector-psychologist in Denau district of Surkhandarya province is suspected of raping a minor, according to the provincial prosecutor's office.
The report notes that the investigation into the case of A.R., a former juvenile inspector-psychologist with the Crime Prevention Division of the Public Safety Service under the Denau District Police Department, has concluded. An indictment has been officially issued under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan:
- Article 118, Part 4 (Rape of a person under the age of 14)
- Article 129, Part 3 (Indecent assault or lewd acts committed against a person under 16 through force or intimidation)
- Article 206, Part 1 (Abuse of power or exceeding official authority)
The case files have been forwarded to the relevant court for trial. The exact date of the incident has not been specified.
"Attempts by any individuals to spread unfounded, defamatory, or misleading information on social media will not help the perpetrator escape liability for a crime committed against a minor. Punishment is inevitable. The Surkhandarya Provincial Prosecutor's Office reiterates that interfering in an investigation or judicial proceeding carries strict criminal liability," the prosecutor's office press service stated.
According to reports from the "Negativ kanali" Telegram channel, A.R. allegedly took a 14-year-old girl into his office and sexually assaulted her.
This incident follows a separate recent report from the Andijan province, where a juvenile social-legal assistance inspector is suspected of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl.
