Murodbek Sherliyev has been appointed as the Head of the Road Safety Service under the Department of Public Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Ministry's press service announced. 

Prior to this role, he served as the deputy chief of the Road Safety Service. Sherliyev's career also includes a previous tenure as a department chief within the same body. He succeeds Sherzod Ibragimov, who had led the Road Safety Service since July 2024 and was recently appointed as the First Deputy Commander of the National Guard.
