In Tashkent's Yakkasaray district, the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu traveling at high speed lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a café building. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
According to the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent City Police Department, the accident occurred at around 5:40 a.m. on July 2 on Shota Rustaveli Street in the Yakkasaray district.
Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of the Malibu lost control of the wheel while moving at high speed, causing the car to slam into the building housing the Caffelito café.
Officers from the Department’s Road Traffic Safety Department are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
The road traffic safety service has urged drivers to observe posted speed limits and strictly follow traffic regulations.
