Temporary traffic restrictions will be deployed on Mustaqillik Avenue in Tashkent's Mirzo Ulugbek district until July 13, as part of road infrastructure improvement and repair works.
According to reports, construction and repair work will be carried out on Mustaqillik Avenue with the aim of upgrading road infrastructure, regulating traffic flow, and creating more favorable conditions for public transport movement.
In connection with this, the roadway on Mustaqillik Avenue between its intersection with Mirzo Ulugbek Street and Oqqorgon Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 1:00 a.m. on July 2, 2026, until 6:00 a.m. on July 13.
Officials noted that, in order to reduce the load on the road and prevent traffic congestion, two-way traffic may periodically be organized on the opposite lane during construction, depending on traffic flow.
Authorities have apologized to drivers for any inconvenience this may cause and have asked them to plan their routes in advance.
