New record for summer electricity consumption in Uzbekistan was set on July 13, the Ministry of Energy said.
The ministry noted that daily electricity consumption across the country reached 278.6 million kWh. This marks an increase of 6 million kWh, or 2.2 percent, over the highest peak recorded during the previous summer season.
The prior summer record was set on July 18, 2025, when daily electricity consumption hit 272.6 million kWh. On that day, temperatures soared to 40°C (104°F) in central provinces and climbed between 42°C and 44°C (108°F–111°F) in desert areas.
To meet the high demand on July 13, daily electricity generation across the country was scaled up to 281.5 million kWh.
