Young inventor and engineer Ikromjon Muydinjonov presented his ARGUS-SYS anti-UAV system at the "Engineers of the Future" competition.
The system is designed to neutralize drones quickly and efficiently, using the YOLOv8 AI algorithm together with optical sensors to automatically detect and lock onto targets.
Once a target is acquired, a 500-watt, 405-nanometer laser reportedly disables it in under two seconds at distances exceeding 1,000 meters.
Uzbekistan had previously reported the development of a separate drone-capturing device.
