A man visiting his former wife's home to see his children was assaulted in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, the Tashkent City Police Department said.
Reportedly, a video circulating on social media showing several individuals inflicting injuries on a man sparked widespread discussion online.
Officials said that on August 9, B.R., 35, went to the Sergeli district home of his former wife, D.K., 29, to visit their children. A conflict broke out with members of her family during the visit. As a result, M.K., 61, and E.K., 34, allegedly beat B.R., causing him bodily injury.
The Sergeli District Police Department's Inquiry and Fast-Track Investigation Division is currently conducting a pre-investigation inquiry into the incident. Authorities said a legal decision would be issued once the inquiry is complete.
