On February 23, the Deputy PM/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade S. Umurzakov held talks with the director of Indorama (Singapore) Prakash Kejrival.

The parties discussed the Indorama’s project progress in Uzbekistan, referring to the spinning unit in Kokand, the project to create cotton-textile clusters in Kashkadarya, Syrdarya and Fergana provinces on 100 thousand hectares, as well as a project to modernize the Kokand superphosphate factory.

They also discussed issues related to links with farms, connecting production facilities to utilities and conducting field work this year.

Prakash Kejrival voiced intentions to expand the technical base of the facilities being created by building a logistics center and a machinery park in the Kasby district of Kashkadarya province, as well as creating a new cotton processing plant in the Sardoba district of Syrdarya province.
