The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution to create a small industrial zone (SIZ) at JSC Oniks in Tashkent’s Almazar district.

Symbolic capsule is casted into the foundation of Uzbekistan Peugeot Citroen Automotive Plant (UzPCA LLC), a new production plant in Jizzakh free economic zone, took place on Thursday, UzAvtoSanoat said in a statement.

The Swiss Tanotrade AG will build a plant for manufacture of electrical products - NukusElectroApparat in Nukus. The total cost of the project, due to be completed in the end of August this year, is $ 8 million. The Swiss company will invest about 80% and the local partner, ToshElectroApparat - 20%.

Starting from June 1, 2017 economic entities will be able to export their own production (with the exception of fresh produce, grapes, melons, and a number of raw materials) for foreign currency without prepayment, letter of credit, bank guarantee and export contract insurance policy from political and commercial risks, according to the May 25 "On measures to further stimulate export and raise competitiveness of Uzbek goods in foreign markets" decree signed  by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

June 12-13, 2017 Zurich (Switzerland) will host an Uzbekistan-Switzerland business forum and matchmaking session with large businesses of the two countries aimed at expanding and intensifying trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Uzbekistan-China Business Forum opened today in Tashkent’s International Business Center. The Chinese side is represented by large design and contractor groups specializing in metallurgy, mining, power, infrastructure construction, transport, telecommunications, environmental protection and others. The Uzbek side is represented by the relevant ministries, agencies and enterprises.
