On Thursday evening the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre after Alisher Navoi hosted the opening ceremony of the Russia Days in Uzbekistan, UzA said.

The Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan, Fatih Jalalov and Russian Ambassador in Tashkent, Vladimir Tyurdenev speaking in the ceremony emphasized that the time-tested relations between the two countries are based on the principles of friendship, mutual trust and comprehensive cooperation.

The Russia Days are held in the framework of Oltin Kuz (Golden Autumn) International Music Festival. The event was opened with a concert of the Youth Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments - Terema, followed by an exhibition of children's drawings - Soul of Russia.

According to the press service Culture and Sports Ministry the Russia delegation visiting Uzbekistan includes 80 people, among them - the musicians of the Moscow Synodal Choir and children's choir-  Otrada (transl. Delight). Also on November 20, the State Conservatory will host a concert by Russian musicians.
