The Days of Turkmen Cinema kicked off at Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace in Tashkent. The Program of Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation for 2017-2019, along with other important documents, was signed during the state visit of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan in March 5-6 this year.

The Turkmen Cinema Days were opened with the screening of the film- At-Mirat, directed by K. Annanov and V. Ishanguliyev. The film tells about Akhalteke horses, and the main character - Mardon, who thanks to his determination and strong will overcomes difficulties on the way to win in equestrian competition- Ulak.

The Turkmen Cinema Festival also features the film -  Makhtumkuli, dedicated to the life and works of the famous Turkmen poet, “Kopetdag - the Soldier's Dream" and "Sayis" (Horse-breeder) about the horses of the Akhal-Teke breed, the films "Songs of Kumli-Gelin" and "The Legacy of Love ".

During the festival, Turkmen filmmakers will also hold meetings in various ministries and agencies.
