The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov hosted a delegation from Rothschild & Co led by the Baroness Ariane Malard de Rothschild, the ministry said.
The parties discussed current progress and prospects for expanding partnerships in key sectors of Uzbek economy, focusing on privatization of state-owned assets and conducting IPOs. They reviewed mechanisms for listing major enterprises on international capital markets to integrate the country into the global financial system.
During the meeting, the Minister Kudratov proposed to organize training seminars for local businesses on corporate governance and investment attraction. This aims to help domestic companies adapt to international standards and investor requirements. The promotion of Uzbekistan's investment image abroad was also discussed. Both sides expressed readiness to develop joint "roadmaps" and hold targeted events to strengthen ties with global financial institutions.
