President Shavkat Mirziyoyev by the January 22 decree approved the Agreement between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Russia on cooperation in the field of using atomic energy for peaceful purposes.

The agreement was signed in Tashkent on December 29 by the Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Nodir Otajonov and the General Director of the Rosatom State Corporation, Alexei Likhachev.

The document creates the legal framework for cooperation between the two countries for the peaceful uses of atomic energy.
