Preliminary work for the 1200-1500 kW PV photoelectric power plant has begun at Sirdarya thermal power plant. After its commissioning, 3 million kWh of electricity will be produced annually, with 900,000 cubic meters of natural gas to be saved.

Contract was signed with Uzbekenergota'mir for turnkey construction and operation of the plant on ​​two hectares and has a 1,200-1,500 kW capacity. Under the contract, it is planned to prepare the land area allocated for construction, to carry out construction-assembly and adjustment works.

Currently, a group of specialists have started the study of the land area and designing work.

In early-October this year, Uzbekenergota'mir brought solar panels and metal structures for installation.
