The European Union's Sanctions Envoy, David O'Sullivan, will land in Tashkent on November 29, the European Union representative Office to Uzbekistan said.

The purpose of the visit is reportedly to “continue a constructive dialogue with the Uzbek authorities on the EU sanctions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

O'Sullivan will also visit Kazakhstan on November 28, where he will have a number of meetings scheduled with country officials.

O’Sullivan’s previous visit to Uzbekistan took place in April this year. Then he unveiled how Uzbekistan and the EU were working to ensure that the country’s territory is not used to circumvent sanctions imposed on Russia.
