Consul General of Uzbekistan Fakhriddin Sultanov visited Thailand's Krabi Province and met with the Governor Somchai Harnpakdeepatima.

According to Dunyo, during the meeting, the partises discussed the ways to expand bilateral ties and establish interprovincial relations between Uzbekistan and Thailand in the trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian areas.

Governor Harnpakdeepatima was provided detailed information on reforms made in the country to facilitate doing business for foreign investors and international trade. Plans for the development of the two-way trade between Uzbekistan and Thailand and the provision of various benefits to attract tourists were highlighted.

He expressed interest in stepping up bilateral cooperation between the province and the provinces of Uzbekistan in all areas, primarily in the tourism and trade.

At the end of the negotiations, the parties agreed between Fergana and Krabi to develop and sign a memorandum on twinning the provinces, to boost the tourists flow, to organize the visit of provincial officials and representatives of business circles to Uzbekistan, and to establish relations in other areas.
