Government meeting chaired by the president took place on defense building and development of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

The parties discussed the ways to further enhance the combat readiness and effectiveness of troops, equipping them with modern weapons and military equipment, modernizing existing weapons, military-patriotic education of the country's youth, as well as social security for military personnel, members of their families and veterans of the Armed Forces.

A report was heard from the Minister of Defense on the steps aimed at improving the effectiveness of combat and moral-psychological training of troops, the activities of command and control bodies, formations, formations and units, as well as higher military educational institutions.

More than 580 operational combat training events also took place, which were attended by over 35 thousand military personnel of the Armed Forces.

Social protection of military personnel and members of their families has been strengthened.

A new system for training military personnel based on advanced technologies has been introduced into the military universities.

While, the parties focused on the digitalization of the military sphere. Modern automated troop control systems are being gradually introduced, as well as the communication system is being improved.

They emphasized the importance of continuing work to equip the national army with modern weapons and military-technical equipment, as well as improving the defense-industrial complex.

Following the meeting, the head of state gave a number of instructions to further improve the activities of the Armed Forces and enhance the country’s defense capability.
