Traffic accident involving a truck and a minivan occurred in the Nizhnelomovsky district of Penza region of Russia on the night of January 11. As a result, seven people in the minivan, including the driver, died, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said.

According to preliminary data, Uzbek nationals were traveling in the minivan, said Nizhnelomovsky interdistrict prosecutor Andrey Yarosh.

RIA Novosti, citing sources, said that one of the two victims died, another was hospitalized in serious condition. The agency added that the minivan had Uzbekistan license plates.

It was possible to establish the circumstances of the accident: the driver of th JAC model minivan, 42, drove into the oncoming lane while driving towards Moscow and collided with a Volvo heavy truck.
