Today, the Uzbek Ambassador to the UAE Abdulaziz Akkulov and the UAE’s Deputy Foreign Khalid Abdullah Belhoul signed a MoM between the governments of the two countries on mutual visa waiver, UzA reported.

Uzbeks shall be waived from visa requirements if they stay in the UAE for no more than 30 days.

The MoM will officially take effect on February 16, 2024.

The signed document increases the number of visa-free countries for Uzbeks to 29 raising Uzbekistan to 71st place in the Global Passport Power ranking.

119.5 thousand Uzbeks visited the UAE in 2023, who spent $9.2 million for the UAE visa.
