President’s Envoy on Foreign Policy Matters Abdulaziz Komilov during his visit to Brussels met with Jivka Petkova, Director of Coordination and Administration of the President of the European Commission, the Dunyo said.

Reportedly, the parties exchanged views on the ways to further deepen the Uzbek-European ties and to advance practical cooperation in between provinces.

The parties expressed their interest in signing the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union initialed on July 6, 2022.

Jivka Petkova highly commended Uzbekistan’s efforts to combat climate change and mitigate its negative consequences and also expressed support for Uzbekistan's initiative to hold the International Climate Forum in Samarkand this year.

The parties emphasized the importance and the urgency of developing mutual cooperation by drafting an appropriate in the field of raw materials.

The parties also discussed the schedule of future joint activities of bilateral and interregional nature.
