The Karakalpak yurt in the Oq Qush (White Bird) complex in Nukus, the capital of Karakalpakstan, is included in the Guinness Book of Records as a non-collapsible yurt with the largest diameter of 40.5 meters. This was reported by the Tourism Development Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.

The certificate presentation ceremony by officials of Guinness World Records took place on August 22. The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbayev, Advisor to the President on Sustainable Development of the Aral Sea Region Tursinkhan Khudaibergenov and others. The 22-meter-high structure was erected by Orol Agro.

On August 20, this yurt hosted the annual dialogue between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and entrepreneurs. It is planned to hold various cultural events and forums here.

After the meeting, the head of state visited an exhibition of yurts organized in this complex, which occupies 50 hectares. The exhibition featured yurts of Turkic peoples such as Karakalpaks, Kazakhs, Turkmens, Kyrgyz, Bashkirs, as well as regions of Karakalpakstan.
