The president Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with young people and congratulated them on the Youth Day, June 30.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the special role of the youth in the development of the country:
“In recent years, our economy has been rapidly growing, our capabilities are growing in all areas, and this, of course, is also due to your worthy merit. Seeing our young men and women, who are full of energy and determination, who have no equal in knowledge, intelligence, any nation, any state can be proud of us,” he said.
On June 30, spoke about new steps to create opportunities for employment and professional growth for young people.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that nowadays 1 million young people are employed in the mining, agro-industrial, textile, chemical, electrical engineering industries and the production of building materials. A new system of professional development will be created for young people employed in industry, services, entrepreneurship and agriculture.
National contests will be held among young people for each trade. At the same time, officials of state enterprises and the private sector will participate on equal terms.
He added that industry leaders would annually select 100 young men and women and send them to foreign-based internships:
For this, each industry will allocate 10 billion soums. These funds will be deducted from the tax base.
Separately, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about programs for the employment of school graduates who did not enter universities, as well as students graduating from technical schools and universities. Two separate projects have been adopted for this purpose. Aloqabank and the National Bank have been allocated 300 million dollars to this end.
These banks will be inn charge of providing jobs to 100 thousand young people as part of the Youth Business program and 140 thousand university graduates through the Step into the Future program.
In addition, the Ministry of Employment, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Bank, will launch a special platform that will directly connect graduates with employers.
At the same time, the Ministries of Employment, School and Higher Education will create an Earnings in Action e-system to provide three million young people with seasonal and unskilled work during the holidays.
Every year, in order to motivate high school students to choose the right profession and help them, a My Profession national contest will be held.
Uzbek students who admitted to universities from the top 300 in the world rankings will be able to receive a soft loans of up to 20 thousand dollars. As part of the national program, 3,000 students will be selected from schools to prepare for prestigious universities in the United States.
