Talks took place at the Foreign Ministry with Sh. Mishra, the VFS Global’s Provinceal Director for the CIS and Eastern Europe, and T. Tuychiev, Head of the Representative Office in Uzbekistan.
Reportedly, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding the network of VFS Global offices in the provinces of Uzbekistan.
“They agreed to launch a mechanism for mobile reception offices of company employees for group applications. This form of service will be provided on a paid basis and will allow applicants from remote areas to receive visa assistance without visiting centers in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand.
In addition, the parties focused on simplifying the procedures for issuing visas for nationals of Uzbekistan to countries that do not have diplomatic missions in the country (including Canada, Argentina, Australia, etc.).
In the absence of accredited consulates, issuing a visa requires additional time and financial costs. In this regard, the Uzbek officials proposed to consider the possibility of transferring part of the processes to the territory of our country, including submitting biometric data through local offices of VFS Global and conducting an online interview.
The parties reiterated their interest in further expanding cooperation, implementing joint initiatives, and improving the quality of visa services for nationals of Uzbekistan.
