The Minsk Tractor Plant (MTP) will supply more than 3,000 tractors and tractor kits to Uzbekistan before 2026, the BELTA news agency said.

“The first shipments of tractor kits have already commenced,” said Mikhail Vardugin, the Deputy Director for Commercial Work for the CIS Markets at the MTP.

The deliveries, reportedly, are part of the assembly manufacturing localization project, which started in 2024 in Nurafshan in the Tashkent province, where the 80 to 212 hp Belarus tractors are being assembled.

The joint manufacturing in Nurafshan has become the seventh in the line of MTP assembly sites in the CIS. Similar assemblies are already operating in Kazakhstan (three), Russia, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.

In February 2024, the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited Tashkent, when agreements were reached on the launch of an assembly plant for diesel generators and compressor stations in Uzbekistan. The partner was the Uzbek company Planeta Servis.

According to the information announced at the time by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, five out of every ten tractors in the country are Belarusian-made.
