Inflation in Uzbekistan stood at 0.6% in October, the National Statistics Committee said in a report. Year-to-date, the average inflation has reached 5.7%, and in annual terms (compared to October 2024) to 7.8%. While in October of last year, the figures were higher – 0.8%, 7.7%, and 10.2%, respectively.

The annual inflation has fallen to its lowest level since May 2016 (7.7%). Currently, this figure is below the Central Bank's inflation forecast for 2025 (8%).

Food items increased in price by an average of 0.9% during the month (compared to 1.1% previously), non-food items by 0.4% (0.7%), and services by 0.3% (0.8%). Over the year, food items became 5.9% more expensive, non-food products 5.8%, and services 14.4%.

The highest annual inflation rates were recorded in the Fergana province (8.6%), Karakalpakstan (8.2%), and Syrdarya province (8%). In Tashkent, the figure was 7.7%, which is close to the national average.
