The Minister of Mining and Geology, Bobir Islamov hosted the CEO of Traxys Group Tuesday. In the talks were also present the Director of Navoiyuran, Jamol Fayzullaev, and Director of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Plant, Farkhod Abdullayev, the Central Asian regional office of Traxys Group said.
The parties discussed the progress of long-term offtake contracts, financing geological exploration, introducing advanced processing technologies, and expanding the participation of international financial institutions.
Reportedly, this marks the beginning of a new stage of strategic importance in Uzbekistan's industrial policy. The initiative is not limited to the search and extraction of rare mineral. The main goal is deep processing, creating high added value, and forming a competitive export system in the global market.
