Two Turkish nationals were arrested in Tashkent for counterfeiting 110,000 dollars on a printer after they bought a diamond ring from a local.

Two Turkish citizens, Ismail and Murat, gave an Uzbek citizen 110 thousand of counterfeit dollars in return of a diamond ring.

According to the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, after a successful deal and giving the cash in a cafe, the two disappeared. Only when he came home, the Uzbek citizen discovered that the money he received were counterfeits. He immediately reported what happened to the police.

The two counterfeiters were quickly found. The investigation established that Ismail and Murat rented an apartment in Tashkent, where they printed counterfeit dollars on a printer. During interrogation, both men pleaded guilty.

A criminal case was opened On this fact under Fraud article of the Criminal Code. The two Turkish citizens were taken into custody.
